Destination partner - Study Melbourne

Study Melbourne is proud to support AIEC as the Destination partner.

In addition to being part of the Study Australia pavilion and the Welcome Reception sponsor, the Study Melbourne team will be available in the Exhibition at the Study Melbourne Networking Lounge. Grab a coffee and say hello, or drop in to the Study Melbourne Hub in Hardware Lane in Melbourne’s CBD while you are in town.

About Study Melbourne

Study Melbourne is a Victorian Government initiative dedicated to building Victoria’s global reputation as a study destination, supporting international students in Victoria, and assisting Victorian education providers to build partnerships around the world.

Year-round support for international students

Study Melbourne welcomes and supports international students throughout their student journey in Melbourne and regional Victoria with a year-round program of free events and confidential support services for international students in Victoria.

At the Study Melbourne Hub in Hardware Lane Melbourne, the first of its kind in Australia, international students can access free and confidential support services, information and activities to help them enjoy living and studying in Victoria and develop their career skills.

Physical and virtual Study Melbourne Hubs across five strategic offshore markets  – China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Latin America and South Asia – promote Victoria as a study destination, support students through their international education journey, and work with our institutions to grow and diversify their markets offshore.

Market and partnership development

Study Melbourne works closely with the sector to strengthen established international education markets, build prospective high growth sending markets, and explore new and emerging markets for Victoria.

Victoria’s Global Education Network is unrivalled among Australia’s states and territories. Located in key markets around the world, Study Melbourne's global network of education specialists work closely with the sector to promote Victoria as a study destination, provide market intelligence back to the sector, and provide on-the-ground support to Victorian education and training institutions interested in accessing new opportunities and growing their overseas business development activities.

Policy and strategy

The Victorian Government’s International Education and Study Melbourne team works closely with the sector to deliver Victoria’s International Education Recovery Plan 2025, through ongoing sector engagement including forums such as Victoria’s International Education Advisory Council, and advocates on behalf of the sector across all levels of government on key issues.
