Conference registration fees

All rates are in Australian dollars (AUD$) and inclusive of the goods and services tax (GST).

All registrations are in-person. There is no virtual registration option.

Only speakers have the option to register for one day on either Wednesday or Thursday. All other registration types are for the 'full conference' (Tuesday to Friday).

Only school staff have the option to register for the two-day ‘Exclusive school program’ on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sharing registration is not permitted. All attendees must purchase their own individual registration.

Pre-conference sessions

Tickets to the pre-conference sessions on Tuesday 10 October are not included in the conference registration.

Registration at pre-conference sessions is only available to delegates attending the conference.

There is limited capacity and registration is essential.

Additional tickets to social events

Delegates attending the full conference can purchase one additional ticket for a guest to attend any of the social events.

Speakers attending one day only can also purchase a ticket for themselves to attend any of the social events.

Schools staff attending the exclusive two-day school program can also purchase a ticket for themselves to attend any of the social events.

* Catering and access to sessions, braindate and exhibition for speakers who register for one day (Wednesday or Thursday) only applies on the day of the registration. Social events are not included in the Speaker Day registration option, but tickets can be purchased separately, subject to availability.

** Catering and access to sessions, braindate and exhibition for school staff who register for the two-day ‘Exclusive school program’ only applies on Tuesday and Wednesday. Only the Welcome Reception is included in the registration fee. 

Important notes about discounted rates

Super early bird and early bird rates

Super early bird (31 July): To qualify for super early bird registration and save $300 off the registration, registration fees must be received by 31 July 2023. Registration fees are based on the date of payment receipt, not the date of receipt of registration form.

Early bird (4 September): To qualify for early bird registration, registration fees must be received by 4 September 2023. Registration fees are based on the date of payment receipt, not the date of receipt of registration form.

Conditions apply. Super early bird and early bird discounts are not applicable if registering at the speaker, school staff or student rate.

IDP clients and IEAA members

IDP client: Applies to full or part-time employees of an organisation that is an IDP or IDP Connect client or IDP Student Essentials partner at the time of registration and for the duration of the Conference, who must register with their work email. Your client or partner status will be verified by the IDP Connect or IDP Student Essentials teams.

IEAA member: Applies to members of IEAA at the time of registration and for the duration of the Conference. If your membership application is in progress, please ensure that you become a full member before you register at this rate. Your membership status will be verified by IEAA.

Sponsors and exhibitors

If you are a sponsor or exhibitor and would like to purchase additional registrations for your staff (i.e. in addition to any complementary registrations included in your sponsorship or exhibition package), you can purchase them at the discounted rate shown above. Please note this applies only to staff at your own organisation. 

Sponsors and exhibitor can also purchase group registrations.

School staff

The school staff rates (for either the full conference or the special school program rate) applies to full-time staff at a primary or secondary Australian school (Prep to year 12).

Delegates must use their work email address when registering as proof of school staff status.

Students

The student rate applies to full-time domestic or international students. Students may be asked to provide proof of student status via email or upon arrival at the Conference venue.

Speakers

The speaker rate applies to presenters and co-presenters, chairs, panellists, moderators and/or session discussants. Speakers must be confirmed and must have received written confirmation of their invitation to speak, chair or moderate a session at the conference.

Speaker Day Registration is only available to speakers.

Visa letters

If you require an invitation letter from AIEC to support your visa application, please send your request via email to aiec@thinkbusinessevents.com.au. Ensure that you include your full name and registration confirmation number in the email. Please note that invitation letters will not be issued unless a formal request is received and will only be provided after your registration is complete, and all registration fees have been paid in full.

Insurance

We encourage you to check the details of your insurance cover, as well as the specific terms and conditions of your travel and accommodation bookings, as the maximum liability of IDP or Think Business Events is limited to a refund of the registration fee with no additional liability for travel costs, hotel costs, or any other costs or expenses.
