Overview

As we approach 2020’s year-end, this webinar presented new research exploring both domestic and international students’ motivations around studying in Australia in 2021. In doing so, we will head into the new year with the data and insights to enable us to make informed decisions.

Key learnings:

  • The latest information on the ‘secure corridor’ pilot programs in the Northern Territory and South Australia and the challenges that international students face in returning to study;

  • Findings of IDP Connect’s study ‘International Student Crossroads III’ that examines attitudes and behaviours of more than 5,100 international students who have received offers to study at higher education institutions across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and the US;

  • Survey results of IEAA and Education New Zealand’s commissioned research project ‘Student Voices’, that explored how domestic students’ sentiment towards international students have shifted during the COVID-19 crisis.
