All PowerPoint files must be set to a 16:9 ratio. You can use the AIEC PowerPoint presentation template, or you may use your organisation's branded template.

Submit your presentation files in advance before the conference by Friday 18 October 2024 at 5pm AEDT.You can send your files in advance via JotForm to our technical support team or visit the Speaker’s Preparation room. They will be happy to check your PowerPoint presentation should you have any concerns or queries. Please note that all files will be networked via the Speakers' Preparation Room.

Using the App during your session as a speaker/chair

The app gives registered delegates access to all the details needed to make the most out of their conference experience. In addition, speakers can use the App for Q&A, polling, session rating and discussions (comments).

To download and login to the app:

  1. Search for AIEC 2024 in the AppStore or Google Play and install the app on your mobile device.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Enter your email address you used to register for this event and password (to be provided at later date)
  4. When prompted, create a new personal password and set your privacy and messaging settings.
  5. Go to ‘My event’ to update your profile in Account Settings and start enjoying the app!

Q & A​

  • Audience must use the app to ask questions in panels/presentations​.
  • Campfires/cafes/roundtables – the use of app is recommended, but optional. Please visit the Speakers’ Prep Room to request the App Q&A to be turned on for your session. It will be turned ‘off’ as default.​
  • Delegates can upvote questions​
  • Chairs decide which questions to ask and in which order​.
  • Q&A opens 1 hour before the session​.  

App polling

  • Let us know by Friday 4 October if you are using polls (live polling) in your session and whether you want to use our APP or using another platform​.
  • Please ensure you visit the Speakers’ Prep Room at least 24 hours prior to your session to set up the polling question(s)​. 
  • If using a different platform (e.g. Mentimeter), you must set up the poll using your own account and provide QR code in your presentations. Please visit the Prep Room to test this at least 24 hours before the session​.

Rate this session – attendee feedback​

  • Delegates can provide feedback on a ‘Session’ (but not individual Inspire presentations) via the app​.
  • Rate this session feature will open 1 hour before the session, and will remain open until at least the end of conference (Friday 25 October)​
  • Chairs – please remind audience to do this!​
  • Speakers – Please remind attendees (at any time during the conference) to rate the sessions they attended (including yours)​ 

Session comments

  • This is for audience in that specific session to comment and see each other’s comments​
  • This will be monitored by the Crew​.
  • We encourage you to comment in your session to create ​discussion.
  • Comments for a session will be open from Tuesday 22 October at 1pm and will close at the end of the conference.​
